Customize your banner and colors
Give your wishlist a look of its own: pick or upload the banner at the top, and choose a color world that suits the occasion.
Your wishlist does not have to look like everybody else’s. Under Customize the design you choose the banner across the top of your list and a color world to match the mood of the occasion.
Opening the design sheet
- Open your wishlist
- Press Design at the top right of the banner
- The sheet opens with two parts: the banner, and Colors
Choosing a banner
The banner part is a grid of tiles. Three of them are on every list:
- The default — the banner that belongs to your occasion, be it a birthday, a wedding or a new baby. It is used automatically if you change nothing.
- An image of your own — press Upload your own image and use a photograph of your own, of the birthday girl for instance. Landscape works best, and you can drag the crop up or down afterwards.
- An AI banner — press Create an AI banner, describe what you want in a sentence, and we design one to match the occasion.
Two occasions bring extra artwork, and each picture is a tile of its own beside the default, so one press picks it. A birthday list adds three, two for a child and one for a teenager. A creator page adds three as well, a dark one, a warm one and a cool one. Every other occasion has the default and nothing next to it.
Those extra pictures carry German names on the page, the same as the color worlds below.
Your choice saves at once and every visitor sees it immediately.
Choosing a color world
Under Colors there are five styles, and each one changes the colors and the mood of the whole page:
- The standard Wishlist.de look, fresh and bright
- A warm, festive one for parties and birthdays
- An elegant dark one
- A calm, natural green one
- A soft pastel one
Your guests see the color world across the whole list. You get a preview of it on the Wishes tab.
The names of the color worlds are still German on the page. The colors are the same whichever language you read the site in.
Your banner is also your link preview
The banner you pick is the picture people see when you share the list — in a messenger link preview, for example. There is nothing extra to set: change the banner, and the preview follows by itself.
Common questions
Does it cost anything? No. Banners and color worlds are free.
Can I go back to the standard look? Yes — choose the default banner again, and the standard color world.
Do guests see the change straight away? Yes. Whatever you choose applies immediately to everyone who opens your list.
