Install the wish button

The wish button is the fastest way to get products onto your list. One click opens the form.

See something online you want? The wish button opens the form with the product already in it — pick the list, confirm, done.

On a computer

Installing it

1. Open the wish button page
2. Drag the pink button into your bookmarks bar
3. That’s it

No bookmarks bar? Press Ctrl+Shift+B on Windows or Cmd+Shift+B on a Mac. In Safari it’s View → Show Favorites Bar.

Using it

1. Open any product page — Amazon, for example
2. Click + Add to wishlist in your bookmarks bar
3. The form opens with the product in it

Almost done: if the shop lets us read it, the name, the price and the image are already filled in; if it doesn’t, you add them yourself. Then pick the list and confirm.

The wish button is an ordinary bookmark, so it works anywhere bookmarks are allowed to run JavaScript.

On a phone

On a phone the wish button works through sharing.

Best option: install Wishlist.de as an app

iPhone and iPad:

1. Open wishlist.de in Safari
2. Tap the share icon, the square with an arrow pointing up
3. Choose Add to Home Screen
4. Done — Wishlist.de is installed as an app

Android:

1. Open wishlist.de in Chrome
2. Tap the menu, the three dots at the top right
3. Choose Add to home screen
4. Done

Using it on a phone

1. Open a product page, in the Amazon app or in your browser
2. Tap Share — the icon looks different from app to app
3. Pick Wishlist.de from the list
4. The product is recognized. Then you choose the wishlist, check the details and save.

The iOS share sheet

Once Wishlist.de is installed as an app it shows up in your iOS share sheet by itself. You can share from:

• Safari
• The Amazon app
• Chrome
• Any other app that can share a link

If you can’t find it: scroll to the right in the share sheet and tap More to switch it on.

Sharing on Android

Same idea: Wishlist.de appears in the share menu as soon as the app is installed.

1. Wishlist.de opens
2. The product is recognized — name, price, image
3. You choose which list it goes to
4. One tap on Add, and it’s on the list

More than one list? We ask which one. If you only have one, the product goes straight there.

It works with every online shop

You can bring a link from any shop. Most of them we can read automatically:

• …and a thousand more

International shops usually work too. If a page refuses to be read automatically, Wishlist.de says so and you fill in the details yourself.

Common questions

The wish button isn’t in my bookmarks bar

Make sure the bar is showing:

• Chrome, Edge, Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+B on Windows, Cmd+Shift+B on a Mac
• Safari: View → Show Favorites Bar

Wishlist.de isn’t in the iPhone share sheet

1. Check that you installed Wishlist.de as an app, meaning you added it to your home screen
2. In the share sheet, scroll right and tap More
3. Switch Wishlist.de on in the list

The product wasn’t recognized properly

Some shops can’t be read cleanly. You can:

• Correct the name and price yourself
• Upload your own image

Do I have to be signed in?

Yes, you need to be signed in to Wishlist.de. If you aren’t, we take you to the sign-in page first.

Does it work on a phone without installing the app?

Yes, with a couple more steps:

1. Copy the link to the product page
2. Open Wishlist.de
3. + Add, then paste the link

With the app installed it’s much quicker.
